The superb beach nearby is safely accessible via some quite steep steps and a footbridge over the busy coast road: and there is even a little tractor-train to pick you up around the park and take you down to the footbridge. Yet while everything you need is right here in the park, many people particularly teenagers like to seek out evening entertainment by taking a stroll into the lively and fashionable resort of Playa d'Aro.

Camping Internacional de Calonge is set on a hillside overlooking the sweeping bay of Palamos. This is a well run and lively site, with modern facilities and beautiful beach on the doorstep. The pitches are located on terraces at the top of the site, separated by small shrubs and with some shade from the mature trees. In high season, young children will love the tractor train that takes you to the pitches from the bottom of the site. There is plenty going on to keep the whole family amused, with activities and evening entertainment most days in high season. The pool complex, with two full sized pools and a separate children's pool, is surrounded by an extensive terrace. Unwind with a cooling drink from the adjacent bar, and enjoy the superb views of the coast.

This attractive park has landscaped gardens and palm trees and the bar and restaurants are housed in a beautifully restored Catalan farmhouse. The park is well equipped with a pool complex and two large swimming pools, a paddling pool, a new indoor pool and a wellness centre including a Jacuzzi and sauna (payable), as well as spectacular floodlit fountains, a bar, restaurants, play areas supermarket and a souvenir shop. Activities such as tennis, table tennis, boules and volleyball are available and there's even a delightful mini zoo for the children. Barcelona is only 30 minutes by car or train and Port Aventura, with its new Caribbean themed water park, Costa Caribe, is must for all the family. The park owners are very keen to make your stay enjoyable and will gladly arrange transfers from airport to park.
