For those who prefer the salty version the beach is a short walk and is great for jumping waves, body boarding or relaxing in the sun. There is an extensive programme of activities supplied by the Al Fresco children's club as well as the on site facilities including children's playground; tennis; table tennis and football/volleyball pitch. Off site there are plenty of things to keep you occupied with bike hire around the corner; Atlantic Toboggan water park a short drive away to the picturesque town of St Giles Croix De Vie; the wonderful promenade at St Jean de Monts with a fantastic long beach, cafes, bars and shops all within a short drive. A little further away you will find the zoo at Sables which is worth a visit.

A very well maintained park, including bar and a lively entertainment programme in high season. Some noise may be heard from the local road. The park is close to the lively resorts of St Hilaire and St Jean de Monts.

The high point of many people's holiday here is the wonderful swimming pool complex with its sun terraces, outdoor pool, choice of water-slides, heated indoor pool and even a jacuzzi. And yet, the magnificent beach at Merlin Plage is just a short stroll away, with the beaches of St Jeande- Monts just a little further. Even so, superb swimming facilities and wonderful beaches are only a small part of the reason for coming to this super park. There is an excellent children's play area here, and activities are first class too, with lively regular entertainment in the bar throughout the season, sometimes going on quite late in high summer. There are also several restaurants open nearby in the height of the season. Some of our pitches are across a road from the main park facilities.

Yelloh! Village la For?t, tucked away from the bustle of Les Sables d?Olonne amidst rolling meadowland, is a small site set in the grounds of a ch?teau. The campsite facilities are set in converted buildings in the courtyard ? the bar is housed in the old stables, while the restaurant with open fire and oak-beamed ceiling is in an ivy-clad outhouse. Head through the stone archway into the ch?teau gardens and to the two covered pools beyond. Here you?ll find plenty of space to relax, plus a fun water slide for the children. There is also a football pitch, badminton court and playground. Keen fishermen can unwind in peace at one of the three lakes, settling down for a spot of carp and roach fishing in idyllic surroundings.

The park runs entertainment during the high season in its bar including family discos. The site is not far from several shops including a supermarket, which is open from June onwards.

Le Littoral is just a mile from the nearest beach with gently sloping sands. The park has a popular outdoor and covered pool. The park bar is the centre for daily entertainment in high season. The site is a short path walk from a rocky cove where children are able to spend hours searching for shell fish. In high season you can take the free bus service which runs all day long between the campsite, the beach and the famous resort of Les Sables d'Olonne.

Situated in the delightful little town of La Tranche, Bel is a quiet family run park. While small and relatively quiet, it offers you a lovely swimming pool with a small water slide as well as a super Scandinavian style play area, all of which makes it especially suited to families with young children. It is also just 500m from the longest south-facing beach in the Vendee, where you can swim and sunbathe, before trying a spot of windsurfing on the 'marine lake'. The lovely town of La Tranche is right on the doorstep too, with its floral gardens, and wide choice of cafes and restaurants. A water park, which is payable, with indoor and outdoor pools is just 300m from the park.

The park owners are very proud of their park and are keen for park regulations to be respected. Just a little way from the coast road, La Yole also offers you a beautiful beach nearby and two super resorts just down the road. Out and about, you'll find chic St. Jean de Monts just up the coast which offers a nice change of pace. There's a lovely air of relaxation about this part of the Vendee too, with its myriad of cosy cafes and seaside stalls selling local wine and produce. And should you just want to explore, you'll find that the whole area is covered with fragrant pine forests.

The owners have kept to the traditional Vendeen style with the park buildings have been built in traditional style. The spacious bar has a relaxed atmosphere. La Yole is one of the most popular sites in the region. It is located just two miles from the beach of Les Mouettes in a restful setting and family atmosphere. There are a number of pools including an indoor pool, water-slide, paddling pool and play area - lots to entertain all the family. The restaurant, offers a varied menu, and pleasant bar overlook the swimming pools. Evening entertainment, held at the bar can get quite lively during high season and may be heard from some parts of the site.

In the evening, you can have a relaxing drink in the bar, which is also the scene of regular family discos in high season, or perhaps enjoy a meal in the equally pleasant restaurant. There are several shops not too far from the park, including a well-stocked supermarket, which is open from June onwards.
