Camping la Grenouillere is set in countryside close to the banks of the Loire, this Castels site has a relaxed atmosphere, ideal for a quiet holiday. The large pitches are positioned in both wooded and open areas. At the centre of the site is a rustic chateau surrounded by a moat, which houses a cosy bar and restaurant with a patio area overlooking the pool. The tropical pool complex offers three pools, bridges, slides and water chutes. Theres also a covered pool, a jacuzzi and a sauna. The sporting activities here are excellent. The energetic can enjoy floodlit tennis, volleyball, archery and football, while the more sedate can spend an afternoon fishing at the chateau moat.
La Pointe St Gilles at Benodet
With a small beach just outside the entrance and the bustling resort of Benodet a lovely coastal walk away, this park offers you the best of both worlds. Awarded the prestigious La Clef Verte award, this family run park has great facilities including a superb pool complex, with waterslides, spa, jacuzzi and indoor pool. There's also an impressive new health and beauty centre, which is ideal if you fancy a bit of pampering. For the livelier there are popular discos, organised by the park owners. Nearby Benodet is well worth a visit, with its multitude of promenade cafes, creperies and restaurants. And if you want to discover Brittany's historic and rustic charms, they're also within easy to reach from here.
Le Pin Parasol at Lac de Jaunay
Le Pin Parasol is situated in?gorgeous woodland on the banks of Lake Jaunay, where fishing, canoeing and pedaloing are popular with the parc guests. The site itself is immaculate and boasts a great swimming pool with giant waterslides, a tennis court and large play areas. There's plenty to do for both children and adults with a lively animation programme. Top-class facilities include a popular bar, as well as the on-site take-away and bakery, and off parc, attractions such as Puy de Fou and Les Sables d'Olonne are very easy to get to.

The facilities on site are superb and include a landscaped pool complex, which offers five waterslides with their own splash pool, a children's pool and a swimming pool, a new jacuzzi pool opened in 2010. Overlooking the complex is the bright and attractive bar area, housed in a white washed, terracotta tiled building typical of the Vendee. Relax here with a refreshing drink, whilst the children splash around in the water. In high season families can enjoy a good programme of lively entertainment including discos, bingo and karaoke. The bar and terrace at Camping de l'Atlantique overlook the pools allowing you to keep an eye on the youngsters as they whiz down the slides. The lively bar hosts a variety of entertainment in high season, including karaoke, magic shows and a weekly disco. Young children have a great time on site, exploring the fishing boat in the play area, or playing mini-golf on the Wizard of Oz course. Although lively in high season the site is much quieter in May and June making it ideal for young families. A path leads you through cool pine trees and over dunes to a fine sandy beach.

It also features a lovely pool with some shade and a great waterslide. Its greatest attraction though is the choice of two safe sandy beaches, both just a short, safe stroll away. There is also an excellent bar, restaurant, and crÃªperie, from which you can watch the children playing on the beach, or look out further to the bright sails of the windsurfers beyond. See it just once and you'll understand why Brittany's soft, sandy beaches are such a popular destination for families.
Les Pierres Couchees at Saint-Brevin-les-Pins
Les Pierres Couchees is surrounded by tranquil woodland, perfect for cycling, walks and picnics. During the day, park life drifts down to the golden beach, just 500m away, with theÂ on-park pool andÂ slidesÂ a favourite for families at the end of the day. A cosy amphitheatre at the centre of the site grabs the attention for children's clubs and much of the evening entertainment.

There is much to see here the Ile de Penotte, a picturesque old quarter in the town centre with pedestrian alleys and facades decorated with shells by a local artist, not to mention the La Chaume quarter, where the city originated, the fishermen's district, with the Place Sainte Anne and its magnificent trompe l'il fresco. And don't miss the delicious food market or fishing port where you can find fish at its freshest. The historical theme park, Le Grand Parc du Puy du Fou is also just 92km away. Located in the Vendee, a region famous for its long sandy beaches, close to Les Sables d'Olonne, Residence L'Estran is a hotel and residence located between the Puits d'Enfer, a deep cleft in the cliff into which the sea comes crashing at high tide, and the town centre. The swimming pool faces the sea and the sandy beaches are just 2km away. There are many activities available locally too such as golf and water sports. There is something for everyone.

Golf and riding take pride of place on the sporting agenda however, as the park has its own 18 hole course, complete with an exclusive clubhouse for golfers and horse riding school offering rides for all ages and treks for all abilities. You can also play tennis, ramble through the vast and beautiful estate, or you may just want to enjoy the splendid water park style pool complex, with new wave pool and covered pool. You can get a refreshing drink at the lakeside bar, or perhaps on the terrace next to the swimming pool complex where lots of evening entertainment is on offer. Children will love the watermark with its four-lane waterslide and the newly built indoor pool complex. There is also a recently built outdoor wave pool, great fun for all the family to enjoy. Pedalos can be hired on the campsite lake. There is a cosy pub with lakeside terrace and restaurant, plus all-weather football pitch and an activity programme all season. Dol-de-Bretagne is 8km away.

This park is the perfect place to relax, unwind and get away from it all. The pool complex has something for everyone including indoor and outdoor pool areas, as well as a shallow area for toddlers. A short walk from the park is a fantastic beach; the island is surrounded by brilliant beaches perfect for swimming and wind surfing. For those who want to explore there are many cycle paths around the island, or Ile de Re can be reached via a toll bridge. In fact, Carnac's famous standing stones are opposite the park.

Most of the pitches are grassy and some are partly shaded; the park is looked after to a high standard with mature trees and shrubs enhancing the area. Morlaix is worth visiting with its pretty setting along a river estuary and its old, cobbled shopping streets.

There are several shops not too far from the park, including a well-stocked supermarket, which is open from June onwards.
