Chateau d'Olonne at Les Sables d'Olonne
There is much to see here the Ile de Penotte, a picturesque old quarter in the town centre with pedestrian alleys and facades decorated with shells by a local artist, not to mention the La Chaume quarter, where the city originated, the fishermen's district, with the Place Sainte Anne and its magnificent trompe l'il fresco. And don't miss the delicious food market or fishing port where you can find fish at its freshest. The historical theme park, Le Grand Parc du Puy du Fou is also just 92km away. Located in the Vendee, a region famous for its long sandy beaches, close to Les Sables d'Olonne, Residence L'Estran is a hotel and residence located between the Puits d'Enfer, a deep cleft in the cliff into which the sea comes crashing at high tide, and the town centre. La Plage is a most pretty park, with direct accessto the beach. It is neatly divided by trees and hedges and set amidst the well-kept gardens of an old Breton farmhouse. All sorts of activities are organised for children in high summer and older ones can also join in the fun at occasional concerts in the bar. Le Bois Dormant at Saint-Jean-de-Monts
This beautiful parc, located in one of the best seasideÃ‚Â resorts of the Vendee, offers both a relaxing retreat together with a lively break. Le Bois Dormant feels spacious and well-thought out.Ã‚Â The holiday homes are spaced out across the parc, but not too far away from the hub of activity around the pool and restaurant area. The outdoor pool complex offers something for everyone, from a main swimming pool, to waterslides, a toddler splash pool and even a spa bath.
Camping la Grenouillere at Blois
Camping la Grenouillere is set in countryside close to the banks of the Loire, this Castels site has a relaxed atmosphere, ideal for a quiet holiday. Camping le Chatelet is a gem, set amidst rolling heath land with breathtaking sea views. Some of our terraced grassy emplacements look across the bay, and seawards to the ancient hilltop Fort la Latte. The site is small and beautiful and has been carefully developed to make the most of its setting. The small pool is a sun-trap; surrounded by hedges and fragrant flowers; you can relax on the sun terrace soaking up the peaceful surroundings. At the centre of the site is a picturesque small lake, a tranquil oasis for relaxing, or watching the local wildlife. The spacious bar offers excellent views across the bay and is the venue for weekly high season entertainment including family disco nights and karaoke.
Les Mouettes at Carantec
The park has a feeling of peace and spaciousness and coupled with the excellent facilities makes it popular with families. Most of the pitches are grassy and some are partly shaded; the park is looked after to a high standard with mature trees and shrubs enhancing the area. Les Mouettes offers a fantastic pool complex including a lazy river and magnificent slides and planned for 2010 is a covered pool. Morlaix is worth visiting with its pretty setting along a river estuary and its old, cobbled shopping streets.

A member of the 'Castels' group, Ty Nadan offers excellent facilities, not least of which are three outdoor pools, an indoor pool and spa with an impressive waterslide and twisting water chute. Deauville at Deauville
Yet refreshingly, this is still a spot of considerable charm. A well-heeled bolt hole for Parisians in need of some bracing sea air, a boardwalk beach, stylish casino, racecourses and marinas all set the style perfectly. Le Clarys Plage at St Jean Plage
In a very popular family area, this excellent park is regarded as one of the best in the Vendee. It is located close to the beach, just a ten minute walk, and five miles south of the busy town of St Jean-de-Monts (which also has some great beaches). The focal point of this modern park is the swimming complex that has outdoor and indoor pools, heated pools, jacuzzi and slides/chutes. There is also an excellent children's play area, which along with the many activities makes this a popular family resort. The park runs entertainment throughout the season and there are many local restaurants close by.
Le Ranolien at Perros Guirec
Le Ranolien is really quite stunning. Colourful hedges and trees blend into the pink granite boulders of the coastline, which allows for some highly individual pitches, as well as easy access to nearby beaches. The owners are continually investing in park facilities, including a mini-cinema and there is a magnificent pool complex which features an impressive array of outdoor pools and water-slides, including a covered, heated pool that's available throughout the season. There is a state of the art spa on site providing a wide range of treatments ready when you need a little extra pampering and relaxing. Away from the site there is an excellent choice of beaches ranging from rocky inlets to sandy coves. Some traffic noise can be heard from certain parts of the park.
Chateau des Ormes at Dol-de-Bretagne
Chateau des Ormes is for you if you like water with a fantastic outdoor wave pool; two outdoor swimming pools; a tropical outdoor pool with waterslides; an indoor pool complex with water slides, lazy river and jacuzzi baths as well as a children's splash pool. Should the children bore of the water there is a children's club run by Al Fresco for 4-12 year olds. There are so many outdoor activities available you will have to work hard to find time to relax. There is the A la carte restaurant to help with the relaxing as will as the pizzeria/take away, plus the evening entertainment with a regular program of events including a disco. Near by you will find boat trips to the Channel Islands and sailing from St Malo, the chateau and lake at Combourg is 6miles away. Further afield is Mont St Michel with its beautiful abbey and museum.
De la Baie at La Trinite-sur-Mer
De la Baie is a relaxing site with a welcoming family atmosphere that is neatly laid out and very well looked after. It has a magical setting on a quiet wooded peninsula, beside a sweeping sandy beach backed by dunes and calm shallow waters, ideal for younger children. The park offers a wide range of organised children's activities, sports tournaments, bicycle tours and walks. It also features a lovely pool with some shade and a great waterslide. There is also an excellent bar, restaurant, and creperie, from which you can watch the children playing on the beach, or look out further to the bright sails of the windsurfers beyond. See it just once and you'll understand why Brittany's soft, sandy beaches are such a popular destination for families.
Sol a Gogo at St Hilaire
The superb pool complex has a roman ruins theme and features exciting waterslides, as well as a covered pool and jacuzzi. In fact the pool area is ideal for everyone, whether you want a dip, a refreshing drink on the bar terrace alongside, or just the chance to relax in the endless sunshine. In high summer the park entertainers organise a range of family activities including regular discos in the bar. And then, of course, there's the wonderful beach which is reached by a private path from the park. There are also many fine day trips to choose from, with lively resorts such as St Hilaire and St Jean de Monts both just a few kilometres away.
L'Orangie de Lanniron at Quimper
The original stone buildings have been converted to house the bar and restaurant. A fantastic new pool complex with waterslides opened in 2008 and includes a balneo spa and hydrotherapy centre. Customers can explore the park and gardens at leisure and children have acres of woods and meadows to play in, with activities organised for them in peak season. The sports centre, Creach Gwen, adjacent to the site offers a wide range of high season activities, including water sports for the more energetic. The river I'Odet hosts a wealth of water based activities and provides a stunning setting for this picturesque site.
La Foret at St Julien des Landes
Just a 10 minute walk from St Julien-des-Landes, this park has a peaceful, rural setting in the parklands of a chateau. Catering for the whole family there is plenty of space for the children to play, and two pools set either side of the chateau.
