Saint Avit Loisirs at Le Bugue, Dordogne
St. Avit Loisirs is one of the premier parks in a region where standards are high; it is the first French campsite to obtain the internationally recognised ISO9000 award for quality. Its crowning glories are the beautiful, golden stone-built Perigordin buildings which house the reception, shop, bar and traditional 'auberge', with its choice of delicious regional specialities. La Baume at Frejus, Cote d'Azur
This park is defiantly for you if you enjoy activities as there is so much to do there will be little time for sitting and relaxing. There are however 2 bars and a restaurant as well as plenty of space to sit around the pool if you want a break from all the excitement. The children have a play area; club with organised activities and even their own disco. Park run sports tournaments; basketball; badminton; climbing wall and archery will give the older children something to think about and a 16+ disco just for good measure. There are family discos during July and August. Sightseeing has not been left from the list of things connected with this busy park with Cannes only 16 miles; St Tropez 22 miles and Nice 40 miles.

Chateau d'Olonne at Les Sables d'Olonne, Vendee

And don't miss the delicious food market or fishing port where you can find fish at its freshest. The historical theme park, Le Grand Parc du Puy du Fou is also just 92km away. Located in the Vendee, a region famous for its long sandy beaches, close to Les Sables d'Olonne, Residence L'Estran is a hotel and residence located between the Puits d'Enfer, a deep cleft in the cliff into which the sea comes crashing at high tide, and the town centre. The swimming pool faces the sea and the sandy beaches are just 2km away. There are many activities available locally too such as golf and water sports. There is something for everyone.

Situated right on the Atlantic coast, and awarded the prestigious La Clef Verte award, Le Vieux Port enjoys direct access to a long, sandy beach, backed by sand dunes, which shelves steeply into the lively waves. Esterel at St Raphael, Cote d'Azur
This first rate, steeply terraced park with its ochre buildings blends into the scenery so well that when you first set eyes on the glorious swimming pools, they create a quite startling contrast. The heated, jungle themed children's pool is not to be missed. Esterel really is a perfect holiday location, with an excellent restaurant and disco on the park and a night club and golf courses close by. The Esterel hills, with their wooded slopes and pink outcrops, are also truly breathtaking. It's an ideal spot for nature lovers, with many superb walks, from gentle strolls to robust hikes. For more sophisticated pleasures, you are also just a couple of miles drive through a wooded valley to Agay, with its pavement cafes and sandy beach.
Bois de Valmarie at Argeles-sur-Mer, Languedoc
Bois de Valmarie is a popular park. Set on a hillside close to the beach of Le Racou, and a short walk from lively Argeles with many restaurants and bars. The great tropical pool complex has a stunning array of waterslides and water chutes linked by waterfalls and a childrens pool. The watermark has fantastic views of the Bay of Argeles. The restaurant and bar on this small site are the ideal location for relaxing at the end of the day. There's a shingle beach close by as well as water sports at nearby Argeles Plage. Situated between the lovely Argeles harbour and the`Cote Rocheuse', Bois de Valmarie not only enjoys breathtaking views, but is also just a five minute drive from the restaurants and shops of Argeles. Why not visit picturesque Collioure, and Perpignan, or perhaps even cross the border into Spain.
Ville Franche at Villefranche, Riviera
A beautiful, pastel-painted town at the head of the French Riveria, Villefranche is a small town of only 8,000 inhabitants but, within its limits you'll discover a walled citadel, Gothic churches, and ancient harbour, all a delight. For a change of pace, the glamour and pulse of Monte Carlo is just a short drive away. Drive inland over rolling hills to St. Paul de Vence, a walled hill fort which dates back to the middle ages. Back in Villefranche, take your pick from a string of harbourside restaurants, offering decidedly Italian-influenced meals, each more inviting than the next.
Camping la Croix du Pont at Berny Riviere, Paris
This is a fantastic site to wander around; meet the birdlife along the riverside or the friendly ducklings in the grounds of the adjacent chateau. At the centre of the site there are two lakes for fishing and water sports, plus a small lake complete with a sandy beach. This flat site offers a playground for children along with fun trampolines. There are first class facilities, including a well run restaurant with a children's menu, high chairs and early eating times. A sunny terrace overlooks the fantastic pool complex with a superb heated indoor pool with waterslides and a brand new lagoon style outdoor pool.
Chateau de Drancourt at St Valery, Picardy
Being situated just three miles from St Valery and amidst the lush meadows of a private chateau; this Castels site has lovely spacious parklands. The owners have created a family atmosphere with some excellent facilities situated around the chateau include swimming pools surrounded by a sun terrace. Children will love the play areas and the three pools, one of which is covered, while the golf range is popular with absolutely everyone. For the active there are tennis, mountain bike hire and a golf driving range. The restaurant and cosy lounge bar are perfect places to spend the evening. There are many wide, sandy beaches along this stretch of coastline.
Yello Village Cote de Nacre at St Aubin-sur-Mer, Normandy
Within 1/2 a mile of a sandy beach Cote de Nacre is a site with plenty to do including a tropical pool complex with swimming pool, water slides and chutes. There is a covered pool which is heated and a childrens splash pool. For those looking to relax there is a sauna and Hammam, There is a playground for smaller children and organised activities for children aged 7-10 years from mid July to August. Le Ranc Davaine at St Alban, Ardeche
St. Alban is a lightly shaded park that enjoys a stunning setting and offers plenty to do for even the most active of families.
