Surrounded by attractive woodland, the excellent facilities make Les Genets ideal for a family holiday. Older children will particularly enjoy a holiday at this lively campsite. The focal point is the outstanding watermark with jacuzzi, waterslides, water chute and lazy-river as well as spacious sun terraces and a new modern bar just been added. A short stroll takes you to a beautiful sandy beach or you can explore the woods and dunes along the coast. This site is three quarters of a mile from Merlin Plage, and four miles from St Jean-de-Monts.
Le Moulin de Paulhiac at Daglan, Dordogne
The facilities at this park are very modern, including a fabulous pool complex with three slides, covered pool, impeccable wash blocks and an excellent take-away and restaurant. Le Moulin de Paulhiac has a beautifully restored watermill that welcomes you at the entrance and is a rural park with large grassy pitches set amidst the dappled shade of walnut, oak and apple trees. The owners also organise activities in high season, which include popular canoe trips. This is the real heart of the Dordogne too, with rolling wooded hillsides, sleepy, honey-coloured villages, crumbling old farmhouses and castles galore to discover.

Although just a 15 minute drive from the Vendee beaches, the park is set in breathtakingly beautiful woods, meadows and lakes. De la Baie at La Trinite-sur-Mer, Brittany
De la Baie is a relaxing site with a welcoming family atmosphere that is neatly laid out and very well looked after. It has a magical setting on a quiet wooded peninsula, beside a sweeping sandy beach backed by dunes and calm shallow waters, ideal for younger children. The park offers a wide range of organised children's activities, sports tournaments, bicycle tours and walks. It also features a lovely pool with some shade and a great waterslide. There is also an excellent bar, restaurant, and creperie, from which you can watch the children playing on the beach, or look out further to the bright sails of the windsurfers beyond. Club Farret at Vias Plage, Languedoc
This family run park offers everything you could need for a sun and sand holiday with plenty to do for the whole family. The lagoon style pool complex, surrounded by palms and shrubs, is a real sun trap and even better a newly planned spa and extended pool. The park also offers no less than seven playgrounds, while adults can enjoy sports that range from table tennis to archery. Le Farret benefits from direct access to a wonderful sandy Mediterranean beach and the site's excellent restaurant and pirate themed bar facilities have more than enough to entertain you for the duration of your stay, however if you can tear yourself away from the park, a short 500m walk will take you directly into Vias Plage with its lively bars, restaurants and nightclubs.

Les Tours is an attractive park with a high standard of facilities and a great swimming pool complex and 'lazy river'. With good sized pitches laid out on a series of terraces and overlooking the gorgeous Lac de la Selves, its a lovely spot for boating and swimming. Beyond Les Tours itself, you will find that you are superbly placed between the Auvergne and the Lot Valley. The enchanting town of Espalion is just 32km south, with its 13th century red sandstone bridge and charmingly small riverside chateau making it well worth a visit.
