Le Vieux Port at Messanges, Gascony
On the Atlantic coast, Le Vieux Port is close to a magnificent long, sandy beach, backed by sand dunes, which shelves steeply into the lively waves. The park is located in a beautiful pine forest and has some great facilities including a great pool complex with seven pools and excellent waterslides. Out of the pool there is also a lot to do with a fun adventure playground, tennis, table tennis, and all sorts of games and sports events during the busy summer months. The park has it's own grill restaurant and during the summer there is also a weekly barbecue with an occasional disco held in high season. Delightful Bordeaux and bustling Bayonne are also both within easy reach by car and the lakeside resort of Port d'Albret is a short walk away and Messanges is 3 km away.
La Garangeoire at St Julien des Landes, Vendee
Part of the prestigious Castels chain of parks, La Garangeoire is a splendid site. Although just a 15 minute drive from the Vendee beaches, the park is set in breathtakingly beautiful woods, meadows and lakes. With many generous and largely un-shaded pitches, you are able to explore many of the delightful well marked walks. There is no shortage of things to do with tennis, fishing and boating on the lake. The modern restaurant and bar overlooking the superb pool and the cosy pub style bar offer a pleasant evening.
Parc St James Oasis at Purget sur Argens, Riviera
A large, modern parc, Parc St James Oasis is situated between the Maures and Esterel hills, at the heart of 42 hectares of woodland. This French Park provides an authentic Proven?al experience with all facilities housed in traditional buildings at the centre of the parc - surrounded by a large, friendly square. On site there is a bar and restaurant and a good shop. For the family the big attraction is the pool complex that includes 4 pools (one complete with water jets), a wave pool and brand new spray park.
Camping Interlude at Ile de Re, Royan
Camping Interlude is a pleasant and relaxing campsite, with sandy pitches under cooling shady pines. This is a superb location for young families, with a glorious beach right on your doorstep. You will find mile upon mile of gently shelving shore that is ideal for swimming, windsurfing or for family beach games and picnics. Back on site, there is a combined indoor/outdoor pool close to the modern restaurant and bar area. You can limber up in the gymnasium or relax in the sauna at the brand new beauty centre. The Ile de Re is very flat and there are a variety of interesting cycle tracks to enjoy (bicycles can be hired on site). This idyllic island is the perfect place to slowly unwind and relax.
De la Baie at La Trinite-sur-Mer, Brittany
Run by enthusiastic owners, the park offers a wide range of organised children's activities, sports tournaments, bicycle tours and walks. It also features a lovely pool with some shade and a great waterslide. Its greatest attraction though is the choice of two safe sandy beaches, both just a short, safe stroll away. There is also an excellent bar, restaurant, and crêperie, from which you can watch the children playing on the beach, or look out further to the bright sails of the windsurfers beyond. See it just once and you'll understand why Brittany's soft, sandy beaches are such a popular destination for families.
La Ferme de la Serraz at Lake Annecy, Alps
La Ferme de la Serraz, close to sparkling Lake Annecy in the French Alps, is a delightful and relaxed site. Ideally located for exploring this spectacular area, this green site is surrounded by superb mountain scenery. Soak up the stunning panoramic views from the terrace of the two swimming pools (one just for toddlers), or simply relax on your grassy pitch. There is a children's playground plus TV and games room, as well as a snack bar (high season only). This is a friendly, family run site that makes an ideal base for young families as well as keen walkers and outdoor sports enthusiasts. A lakeside beach is just under a mile from site, with swimming, boat trips and a wide choice of water sports available.
Holiday Green at Frejus, Cote d'Azur
The huge Californian pool complex is great fun for all the family and includes a children's pool with water games, and a covered heated pool, toboggans, solarium and jacuzzi. Throughout the season there are aqua aerobics, water polo and water volleyball tournament and in July and August swimming lessons, fun waterskiing and even deep-sea diving instruction. The park has a restaurant, bar, supermarket, fitness room, tennis court, boules pitch, archery and mountain biking. There is also free evening entertainment and themed restaurant nights. Due to the undulating nature of the terrain on this park and the placement of some of the pitches on quite steep terraces, this park is not ideal for those with mobility problems.
Domaine-de Chalain at Lac de Chalain, Jura
There is a superb pool complex at Domaine de Chalain, with outdoor and indoor pools, waterslides (6yrs+ only), waterfalls, a sauna, rapids and a jacuzzi. There is also an excellent range of sporting facilities, complemented by a first rate animation programme in high season. Lakeside, you will find all manner of water sports, hire a pedalo or canoe, or enjoy a cooling swim, before soaking up the sun on the shore. Keen fishermen can indulge in a spot of lake fishing from the banks of the adjacent lake.

La Garangeoire is without a doubt one of the most prestigious members of the Castels chain. Camping du Golf at Barneville-Carteret, Normandy
Camping du Golf is a beautiful, small site with spacious grassy emplacements, in a perfect location for exploring the area. With the beach and town just a short walk away, there is plenty to see and do. There are also great walking and cycling paths around the coast which deliver some spectacular views of the nearby Channel Islands. The whole family will enjoy the heated indoor pool and excellent entertainment on site, with sports competitions and discos held regularly by the animation team. In the evening, the friendly bar and restaurant make an excellent place for a family meal or relaxing drink.
Chateau de Drancourt at St Valery, Picardy
Ideally placed for the Channel ports, this 'Castels' park enjoys a picturesque location in the gardens of Chateau de Drancourt, with many facilities that make it ideal for a great family holiday. Children will love the play areas and the three pools, one of which is covered, while the golf range is popular with absolutely everyone. There are also some beautifully converted stables, which provide a focal point for many other activities. The owners have created a great family atmosphere too, which you can sample at the cosy restaurant, in the bar of the main Chateau, or at the lively karaoke nights held in high summer. The local area offers a wealth of day trips too, with the medieval port of St. Valery just a few kilometres away.
Sol a Gogo at St Hilaire, Vendee
The superb pool complex has a roman ruins theme and features exciting waterslides, as well as a covered pool and jacuzzi. In fact the pool area is ideal for everyone, whether you want a dip, a refreshing drink on the bar terrace alongside, or just the chance to relax in the endless sunshine. In high summer the park entertainers organise a range of family activities including regular discos in the bar. And then, of course, there's the wonderful beach which is reached by a private path from the park. There are also many fine day trips to choose from, with lively resorts such as St Hilaire and St Jean de Monts both just a few kilometres away.
La Pergola at Lac de Chalain, Jura
This award winning park is situated on the shoreline of the Lac de Chalain and is a great place to explore the lakes and mountains of this wonderful area. Lac de Chalain has a superb family atmosphere with a good range of facilities including a superb pool complex with sunbathing area and a flower decked bar and restaurant terrace. In high season the site becomes very lively, with plenty of organised entertainment. There's also a lakeside beach where you can swim, canoe and windsurf. La Chapelle at Argeles Plage, Languedoc
Situated just 50m from the bustling resort of Argeles, La Chapelle is only 200m from a long sandy beach. The pitches on the park are large and grassy and are situated to the rear of the site with mature trees providing some shade on the majority of pitches. The pool complex is a great place to meet other holidaymakers or simply top up your tan and relax with a good book. For changes of scene why not visit Perpignan, the nearest city to the park, or if you want to travel a little further, Barcelona is also within reach for a day trip.

With 250 acres of chateau parkland and woods, this site is extremely popular with our customers, particularly teenagers, and becomes very lively in high season. Les Ormes also offers you an extensive range of good facilities, together with an even more impressive range of activities. Golf and riding take pride of place on the sporting agenda however, as the park has its own 18 hole course, complete with an exclusive clubhouse for golfers and horse riding school offering rides for all ages and treks for all abilities. The pitches are generally spacious with some offering fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. The campsites excellent activity programme is extensive, with canyoning, rock-climbing, abseiling and horse riding.
